BRITA Professional Systems solve problems caused through hardness, chlorine and heavy metals by removing the elements which can adversely affect equipment performance and quality. Therefore, BRITA offers a huge variety of different water treatment systems: for coffee machines, combiovens and steamers, vending machines and dishwashers.

BRITA Professional supplies the following technologies for water treatment:

Decarbonisation and Adsorption

Removes temporary hardness from the water. During the ion exchange process calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for hydrogen ions. The total salt content of the water is thus reduced.

The activated carbon reduces chlorine compounds from the water which can adversely affect taste. The composition of demineralisation and adsorption is the ideal solution for: vending and coffee machines, ovens, steamers and cutley and glass washers.

Demineralisation

The ion exchange process removes temporary hardness and all soluble salts from the water. The process uses resins which exchange temporary hardness and all other salts for hydrogen and hydroxide ions. Is the ideal solution for glass and cutlery washing in hard water areas with an additional high salt content.

Softening

The ion exchange process removes the total hardness from tap water. All calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for sodium ions.

Is recommended for porcelain and crockery washing in hard water areas.

Reverse osmosis

This treatment process removes almost all salts by means of a special membrane. Only demineralised water is able to pass through the membrane.

Is the ideal solution for glass and cutlery washers with high water consumption and feed water with high dissolved salt content.

An excellent network of distributors ensures that the exhausted filter systems are replaced immediately. The exhausted filters are then recycled in a modern regeneration plant at BRITA.
